Baptism Liturgy 2022

Last week we celebrated ten young men taking a major step in their faith journey by being baptised: Carlos Malakai, Emmanuel Neemia, Kingston Fonua, Daniel Taione, Liam Millar, Feata Sului, Israel Neemia, Uriah Neemia, Kalani Liddall-Sua, and Uli Toki Fisiifetau. Our College Chaplain Pa Peter Tipene celebrated the liturgy and did a beautiful job, as always, of guiding the candidates and their Godparents through the sacrament. This year we were blessed to make use of our own College chapel instead of needing to have the ceremony off-site. This greatly benefitted the atmosphere as the entire Junior College was able to join us for the liturgy.

These young men are part of a 24-strong cohort for the 2022 Sacramental Programme at St Paul's College, the largest group we have ever run. We are very much looking forward to celebrating the final Sacramental Initiation Mass on November 29th, where all 24 students will receive the remaining sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Holy Communion, and fully enter into the richness of the Church.

We would like to thank all of the parents, Godparents, and whānau, as well as Pa Peter Tipene for helping to make this liturgy such a special occasion.
