Free Doctor clinic every Wednesday afternoon Periods 5 & 6.

Year 9 Eyesight and Hearing screening due in May Term 2, please email Nurse Emma if you want to add your son for the screening if they are not in Year 9. [email protected] 

Asthma nurse specialist next due 11 March for one to one reviews. 

School Nurse Services 

  • First aid and injuries, skin care and managing infections, throat swabbing for Strep A infections (can lead to Rheumatic heart disease if antibiotic treatment is missed), Asthma support and changing over to the new Combi inhalers like Symbicort to replace Ventolin (blue inhaler), supporting students with chronic illness, mental health support and referral to the school Counsellor and Psychologist. 
  • Education about keeping hydrated at school is ongoing to prevent presentations with headache and tummy pain which are often linked to dehydration.
  • Year 9 health and wellness assessment where every year 9 student meets the nurse to provide baseline health information and identify any students with struggles so we can provide support early in their school life.
