This year, St Paul’s College proudly returned to the ASB Polyfest stage, with up to 180 students participating across two cultural groups—Samoan and Tongan. After a 5+ year absence from the festival, both groups made a powerful comeback that truly reflected the spirit and brotherhood of our school.

Led with strength and dedication by their senior leaders, and supported wholeheartedly by their fellow students, both groups committed to seven weeks of intense preparation. Their efforts culminated in a spectacular Fiafia Night on Tuesday 1 April, held at Marcellin College. We are incredibly grateful to Ms Maria Prescott and her team for hosting us—an event that was completely sold out and filled with energy, pride, and alofa.

Despite a cold and wet Friday on 4 April, our young men lit up the stage at Polyfest with unforgettable performances. Their passion, discipline, and talent were evident to all, and the cheers from the crowd reflected the impact they made. The following day, their hard work and dedication were acknowledged and celebrated at the Prizegiving—an unforgettable experience for all involved.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms Pina Cocker for her unwavering support and leadership of the Tongan Group, and to Becks Tupa’i and the Samoan Committee for their commitment to the Samoan Group. Special thanks also to our amazing tutors: Soane Pusiaki, Nela Kata, and Taniela Namoa for guiding the Tongan group with strength and wisdom; and to Baisyet Filimoni Kalava, Nainz Tupa’i, and their creative team for their outstanding work with the Samoan group.
