Champagnat Day Mass 2025

This morning (Friday 6 June), the St Paul’s College community gathered at St Michael’s Church to celebrate Champagnat Day — a special occasion honouring the life and legacy of St Marcellin Champagnat, founder of the Marist Brothers. It was also an additional celebration of 70 years of St Paul's College.

Led by Father Glenford Lowe, the Mass was a reflective and prayerful celebration of our Marist identity and values. Students and staff came together in faith to acknowledge the importance of service, humility, and perseverance in our daily lives. We were blessed to be joined by Marist Brothers, Br Colin, Br Barry, Br Don, as well as Dan Dungey (Marist Champagnat Province), Justin Durling (Champagnat Marist Education Limited), Terry Carter, Matthew Abel, Mark Bowden, Brendan Lawler (Proprietor/School Board), and Philip Mahoney (Catholic Education Services).

The St Paul’s College choir, Confortare, performed beautifully during the liturgy, filling the church with rich harmonies as they continue to prepare for the upcoming Big Sing competition.

We also announced three new prefects, recognised for their leadership, character, and commitment to the College. We congratulate Ezekiel Davidson Fa'aiuaso, Isaiah Faiva and Ngatu Lui on their appointments and look forward to their contributions in the months ahead.

We extend our thanks to St Michael’s Church for hosting us and Mrs Smuga and Mrs D'Souza for organising a beautiful Mass that was a meaningful and uplifting celebration of our Marist heritage.
