The Play’s the Thing!

On Thursday 15 May, we welcomed the annual visit of the Ugly Shakespeare Company to perform one of their ingenious of a play by William Shakespeare play. This year’s selection was possibly the most famous of all his works, Hamlet, the tragedy of revenge in the Danish court and the most quoted work in English literature

The young actors presented a wonderfully spirited and interactive performance with many local references that engaged our senior students. All our senior classes are studying the works of Shakespeare, and will have gained a lot from the opportunity to see a live performance. We look forward eagerly to the return of the company next year.
