On Friday 20 February, our college community gathered to honour the outstanding academic achievements of 2025. We recognised students who earned Excellence Subject Endorsements, Junior Diplomas, NCEA Level 1–3 Endorsed with Excellence, IGCSE Cambridge awards, and NZQA Scholarships.
To achieve these honours, students earned at least 14 Excellence credits in a single subject, or 50 Excellence credits across the year. A special commendation goes to the six students who achieved A or A* grades (over 90%) in their Cambridge exams. Congratulations to all our badge and certificate recipients.
We were privileged to welcome back Old Boys and recently graduated doctors, Dr Joseph Johnston (Class of 2019) and Dr Jodeci Namulau’ulu Sio (Class of 2013), as our keynote speakers.
They spoke passionately about the importance of dreaming big and the grit required to reach those goals. Their message was clear: success is built on a foundation of perseverance, discipline, and the habits formed right here in high school. They encouraged every student to be consistent, study hard, and live by the college motto.
2025 NCEA and Cambridge Results
Research consistently shows that students who gain Certificate Endorsements and UE transition more successfully into university. We encourage every student to make "Endorsement" their goal this year.
We extend a huge thank you to the families for your vital role in your son’s education, and to our passionate teachers who work tirelessly to facilitate these successes. Let us work together to make 2026 our best year yet.
Mr M Prasad, Deputy Headmaster - Student Achievement
