Introducing the Science Department

Ms R Kanji, Mr S Sharma, Ms S Rao and Dr M Tamanam

Our wonderful Science department here at St Paul's covers the core subjects of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, providing a firm foundation of theory and practical to support students' transition into tertiary study. Students who are eager to pursue Science, whether it be Health Sciences, Engineering or Computer Science, are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to enter university.

We welcome Ms Kanji to the St Paul's family. She is an enthusiastic Science teacher who brings many years of experience to the busy Science labs at the college. Ms Kanji, whose specialist area is Chemistry, has high expectations of her students.

Mr Sharma joined the Science Team in Term 1. He is a diligent teacher, who previously taught at De la Salle College, and a keen sports coach and chess player!

Ms Rao is our lab technician. She prepares the equipment for the practical experiments and her help and expertise are invaluable to the teachers and students at the college. Ms Rao is also an avid chess player and loves badminton.

Dr Tamanam is a familiar face to everyone. He is a long standing staff member of 17 years! He enjoys teaching general Science as well as his specialist area of Physiology. Dr Tamanam is also a passionate cricket fan and has coached the 1st XI team for 15 years!

Mr Romijn is on leave for the remainder of this year. He is spending time with his family in Australia.
