Library News 5th August 2020

Our very own school librarian, Mrs Kath Twomey, has been awarded a study grant for 2020 from SLANZA (School Library Association of NZ) to put towards the cost of her last university paper for her Diploma of Library and Information Services.

Kath says:

"Studying  and learning more about librarianship gives me the courage to change how I see the world and challenge my mindset about being a librarian. I can change how students read and use the library for information purposes.

I was extremely fortunate to end up at St Paul’s College where I have found I can use my teaching skills to enhance our students' learning with the skills and new understanding of librarianship in the 21st Century.

I am now able to help students find relevant, up-to-date, reliable information and give guidance on referencing and citing as well as recommend amazing books that will inspire them to be the best."

Congratulations Kath!
