Compassion and Initiative - A Very St Paul's Pairing
It is always a great reflection of our school when students at St Paul's College partake in community work organised through myself. However, it is even more exceptional when our students actively seek out community and non-profit events to lend their time. Well done to the following students who have displayed the very 'St Paul's pairing' of initiative and compassion.

Rise & Shine Josiah Mika Foundation
Elijah Leaoasavaii, Year 7, (pictured below with Sir Michael Jones) partook in volunteer work for the launch of Rise & Shine Josiah Mika Foundation, described below by his parents, Adrianne and Danny.

The launch of the Rise & Shine, Josiah Mika Foundation, is a foundation created to help young people in South Auckland. Josiah was a young soul taken too early and his parents and whanau felt that this was an initiative to help with dealing with the grief and also do some great work with young people in South Auckland.

The foundation sends love and gratitude to Elijah and St Paul's for their work in helping out on the night.

Glen Eden RSA
Feofa'aki-a'kakau Tupouniua, Compton Vaka and Viliami Kailahi lent their time to the Glen Eden RSA to help out with their annual ANZAC breakfast. Below is a message from Lucinda-Jay Te Whero - Compton's cousin.

I have been asked by Glen Eden RSA to contact St Paul's College to pass on appreciation and thanks to the three young men who attended the Waikumete Dawn service and bussed tables for the Glen Eden RSA ANZAC breakfast. Those three young men were Viliami Kailahi, Compton Vaka and Feofa'aki-a'kakau Tupouniua. Comments were made regarding the boys' kind manners, hard work and beautiful smiles. They have also been invited back to the RSA in the future.

20 Hours of Service
Well done to the students who have completed their yearly goal of 20 hours of service in the community. These boys have cemented their status as St Paul's men.

Great Men. Great Work. Great Causes.
